How Much Financial Aid Might You Be Eligible to Receive? Get a quick estimate online. Here's how: 1. Log on to the Virginia Education Wizard at vawizard.org. 2. From the top menu bar, select "Paying for College." 3. Choose "Award Estimator." 4. Enter the information requested. If you're ready to start the financial aid process, complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online at fafsa.edu. You'll need PVCC's school code = 009928. PVCC Financial Aid Office Main Building, Room M136 434.961.6545 or finaid@pvcc.edu pvcc.edu/financialaid One-Minute-or- Less Comparison of College Tuition and Fees Take 60 seconds, or less, to see how much money you'll save by starting your bachelor's degree at PVCC instead of a four-year school in Virginia. • Log on to vawizard.org. • Click "Paying for College" (at top, center) • Click "College Cost Calculator" (at left) • Select "Piedmont Virginia Community College" in the drop-down menu. • In the second drop-down menu, select the four-year school that you wish to compare. • Click the "Next" button. • Voila! Tuition and fees at PVCC are, on average, one-third that of a public four-year college or university. The savings is higher when compared to private four-year schools. SciTE Scholarships for Computer Science, Engineering and Science Students PVCC SciTE scholarships are available for qualifying students enrolled or intending to enroll full time in the Associate in Science degree program in computer science, engineering or science with the goal of transferring to a four- year school. • Maximum annual scholarship award = $10,000 ($5,000/ semester) • Maximum scholarship period = three years For eligibility requirements and more information, visit pvcc.edu/scite.
