39 PVCC DIGITAL FALL 2014 Workforce Services Class Schedule email@example.com l www.pvcc.edu/workforceservices or 434.961.5354 PVCC Workforce Services Intelligence Cyber Security Analyst Boot Camp Analyst Boot Camp (ABC) is a rigorous 10-week program designed to provide students with the necessary tools to be successful analysts in the Intelligence Community (IC). The program begins with introductory issues in the IC, essential analytic skills and the key Intelligences (INTs) used to answer intelligence questions before moving into more advanced topics in irregular warfare, Order of Battle analysis and Advanced Geospatial Intelligence (AGI). Throughout the program students will be regularly challenged with analytic exercises as well as writing and briefing assignments on current intelligence issues. Course offerings and delivery dates are subject to change. During the ABC program, the process will be initiated for students to receive security clearance. Analyst Boot Camp is approved for Veterians Educational Benefits. 1. What are the days and times of the ABC? The Analyst Boot Camp is held Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. for 10 weeks, a total of 400 hours. 2. How do students obtain Secret Clearance? The first day is devoted to orientation and completing forms. Most students receive Secret clearance within 5 weeks and are able to handle classified information after that. 3. When do I receive my Top Secret Clearance? The documentation for Top Secret clearance is processed at the end of the ABC. PVCC Workforce Services has no control over how long it takes for the government to process a Top Secret clearance. 4. Can I pay my tuition in payments? Students may pay in two equal payments. The first payment of $5,000 is due before the first day of class (Sept. 15). The second payment of $4,995 is due by the end of the 4th week of class (Oct. 10). 5. Can I use my GI benefits? The ABC is approved for post-9/11 GI benefits. Please check with your Veterans Affairs office for tuition assistance. 6. Is financial assistance available for the Analyst Boot Camp? There is no financial aid for the ABC. 7. What are my job prospects after graduating? Between 75-80% of our students have accepted jobs in the intelligence community, the majority in the private sector. Job offers depend upon your degree and work experience. There is a high demand for people in the areas of Information Technology, Biotechnology and Foreign Languages. Veterans, because of their experience, tend to do very well in the ABC. Lawyers, Ph.D's and liberal arts students have also been successful in the program.
